There is a lot happening in SCRR these days. Read the announcements below to expand your horizons and see how you can give back to the group you love so much.

LOOKING FOR A FEW GOOD PEOPLE

  • Do you have extra time to devote to making SCRR the best running club in SoCal?

  • Are you looking to get more involved with SCRR?

  • Want to be part of the leadership circle?

We’re looking for a few good people to join the 2022/2023 board. Meetings are after the run on the last Thursday of the month. Elections are at the June club meeting, so let David know if you’d like to be on the ballot and for what role – Communications, Member At Large, Newsletter, or something else. Term begins July 2022 and goes through June 2023.

COVEATHALON

Join the SCRR Team at Coveathlon this summer! 

Coveathlon is a 4 race series consisting of a 1K swim + 5K run at Newport Dunes (swim only, run only and relay options available).  It’s a community-spirited race giving athletes of all levels and ages the opportunity to train, compete and improve their open water swim and run

  • Dates: 7/21, 7/28, 8/11, 8/18 (Thursday nights)

  • Starts at 6:15pm

  • Cost: 1 race – $55; Race Series – $200; Swim only/Run Only- $30; Relay- $65

This is a great open water swim for those new to open water swimming.  The SCRR team is small but mighty and we’re excited for another summer of racing at the Dunes.  

If interested, request to join the “SCRR Coveathletes” facebook group to keep up to date with team information.
